What Is This Job?

Scaffolders build the temporary structures that allow trades to safely work at heights. The role is in strong demand on shutdowns, construction and FIFO maintenance projects.

Typical Duties
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffold
  • Following scaffold plans and load limits
  • Inspecting components and tagging scaffolds
  • Working at heights safely
Day In The Life
  1. Pre-start permit and JSA review
  2. Move and stage scaffold components
  3. Erect or alter scaffolding to plan
  4. Tag, inspect and hand over to trades

  • 2/1, 8/6
  • Shutdown swings of 2-4 weeks
